Valerie Andrews/ Devilina (Age: 24) – The heroine of our story, orphaned at age 10, kidnapped at age 13, and managed to escape at age 18. In those five years of captivity, Valerie was experimented on by the religious group known as the Templars. After giving her their signature cocktail that all their soldiers use which enhances the person’s reflexes, senses, speed, and even strength, the Templars drugged and kept Valerie prisoner to test just how durable the serum made someone. They wanted to know exactly its limits in terms of damaging someone, should one of their soldiers ‘stray from God’. As Valerie was one of their more defiant prisoners, they also wanted to test if her defiant resolve somehow made her more durable or stronger. They were essentially testing if willpower somehow altered the serum. She eventually managed to escape back into civilization and rebuild her life, but the knowledge that the order was still committing these atrocities was too much for Valerie to let go. With members hidden throughout the city’s police department, Valerie took it upon herself to take down the order as the heroine, Devilina.

Valerie is a young woman in impeccable shape with jet-black hair and blue eyes. Sometimes she comes off as a tad cocky but can normally back it up if need be. She’s plagued with PTSD from her time with the Templars and often experiences severe night terrors which she is embarrassed about as she often sweats through most of her clothes and sheeting and awakens either screaming or crying. She still attempts to have a positive outlook in most situations.

Klaus Wagner (Age: 99)- Formerly a Templar scientist gone rogue; Klaus was one of the first people inducted into the revived Templar Order. A scientist’s assistant during the Nazi regime, a young Klaus was spared by Templar founder, Harold Chambers for his scientific mind and was brought back to the United States to work for the order as a scientist. Under the order, Klaus would go on to develop many of the Templar’s current serums and technology. After declining to hand over his serum for reduced aging, Harold’s Grandson, Maximillian, who had recently been appointed Grandmaster at the time, ordered the scientist to be killed. Though he put up a valiant fight, he was inevitably left for dead and his formula for the reduced aging serum was lost to the Templars. Klaus did his best to hide out in the city and tried to live a normal life for years, eventually befriending the new tour guide at the city’s local museum, Valerie Andrews. He took an interest in the young woman who would eventually discover that he was as a Templar scientist. Though he initially declined to help her take down the order, he was persuaded by his own guilty conscious to help her take up the fight.

       Klaus is very ‘Grandfather’ like in both appearance and personality. With no more hair on his head, he compensated by growing a short grey beard. He speaks with a German accent although he tries his best to hide it. Since meeting her, Klaus often tries his best to instill wisdom in Valerie. Like Valerie, he often suffers from nightmares, but these are caused by the guilt he has accumulated over decades of unethical work. He is usually very calm and collected but in the right circumstance can fly off the handle.

Casey White (Age: 32)- A young lawyer who befriends Valerie fresh out of captivity. While out celebrating her first successful case, she was accosted by a group of muggers. Thankfully for her, Valerie happened to escape being incinerated and was wondering around just in time to fight them all off and then pass out from exhaustion. Casey would call an ambulance and accompanied Valerie as she was taken to a nearby hospital. After the police questioned Valerie about her identification, Casey sat and listened as this young woman who had just saved her recount running away from an orphanage only to be abducted and help prisoner for years, having just fought off her attacker and escaped when she came across Casey. Wanting to repay the young woman, Casey offered Valerie a place to stay, and what was supposed to be a temporary situation blossomed into the two becoming long-term roommates and friends. It was Casey who assisted in getting Valerie’s life back on track by helping her obtain copies of her birth certificate and social security card, helped her pass the GED, managed to get Valerie’s trust (containing her parent’s life insurance) released to her and helped her apply for a local college.

·        Casey is a young woman of average body size with shoulder-length red hair and emerald, green eyes. She is kind and passionate about the justice system which occasionally leads to her being taken advantage of by petty crooks. Though she and Valerie are friends, she often views Valerie as a little sister and someone to look out for.

Maximilian Chambers/ Grandmaster (Age: 61)- Leader of the Templar Order and the third Grandmaster in its (revived) history behind his father and grandfather. His efforts align medium of his predecessors, being more aggressive than his Grandfather but no so much to match his father’s crazed ideals. To protect the order, Maximilian even killed his father, which saw him ascend to the title of Grandmaster at 30 years old. He’s extremely intelligent, well mannered, and well versed in various combat techniques. His hardened disciple and meticulous attention to detail are why he’s one of Devilina’s most dangerous foes even at the age of 61 years old. Known as Father Max in Devilina’s youth, Maximillian received funding under a religious guise to start an orphanage which he had name St. Bernard’s. After Devilina’s escape, Maximillian had the orphanage closed and the children spread out to other orphanages and group homes in the city. He sees Devilina as a test of his faith and will do anything to stop her from interfering with his agenda.

Grandmaster is an older gentleman with combed back grey hair and matching beard. He is cold, calculating, and absolute in terms of his faith. He will often excuse harsh treatment as ‘God’s Will’ when he is a simply a brutal psychopath.

‘Michael’ (Age: ??)- Leader of the Templar’s Archangels, the man known as ‘Michael’ is mainly an unknown entity even to most of the Templar’s member. Some rumors say that he was groomed by the Grandmaster at a young age to be God’s perfect weapon. Others say that he’s even the Grandmaster’s own child. Whatever the case, ‘Michael’s faith to the Templar’s cause is absolute and his devotion to the Grandmaster is seemingly unshakeable, this combined with his extensive training and skill make him the Templar’s most dangerous weapon.

Though ‘Michael’ is rarely seen without his mask, those that have seen his actual face put him to be a good-looking man in his late 20’s with long blonde hair and gold in his eyes. While some say that this is merely done by ‘Michael’ to show his devotion, others claim it is natural and that he is in fact an angel sent by God to aid the Templars.

Angelica (Age: 20’s)- The Templar’s supposed answer to Devilina. Angelica is meant to become a ‘good, God serving’ heroine to help the public with the transition once the Templars take control of the city. Armed with the Templar’s serum, teched out tonfas, expert knowledge in martial arts and surveillance on Devilina she is first tasked with ridding the city of the ‘heretic’, Devilina.

Angelica’s real name is unknown but she’s a physically fit woman in her 20’s with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Though she believes in the Grandmaster and his call of duty, she’ll disobey or alter orders in an attempt to do more for the Grandmaster.
